Dr. Eggers performed a right hip replacement on me on November 2nd. He informed me that all he wanted me to do after surgery was to walk as much as possible. After the procedure I had almost no pain. The little I did have was handled with Tylenol. I did as he instructed and began walking as soon as I returned home. Within the first week I was moving very well had moved from the walker to a cane. Within three weeks I no longer needed the cane. I am pleased with the whole experience and thank Dr. Eggers for his skill, expertise, and the instrution to walk as much as possible. It has been a very succesful procedure/recovery and I no longer have any pain in the right hip.

Dr. Eggers did a total knee replacement for me on 10/23/23. My knee was in very bad condition, it was very bowed out. The surgery went very well, in two weeks I was walking with no pain, no walker, no assistance! At my 5 weeks check up he said I was doing very good. My physical therapy is going great. I waited for years because I was scared to have it done, heard horror stories of the surgeries, the recovery, the physical therapy. He did a wonderful job, explained everything in the pre operation visit. I would recommend Dr. Eggers 100 percent! Thank you so much Dr. Eggers

Dr. John Eggers and team are amazing. They are very friendly, patient, and take the time to explain and educate you on what needs to be done. I had a right knee replaced in Oct. 2020, Dr. Eggers told me I would hate him for 3 days after the surgery due to pain, I woke up pain free and was walking up and down in front of my house the next day. In Feb. 2022 I had my left hip replaced and again, a very quick, easy recovery. In March 2022I started walking for exercise. Now I walk 5 miles a day and I couldn't have done it without Dr. Eggers. I need to have my right knee replaced and the only one I will consider is Dr. Eggers. Dr. Eggers is absolutely amazing and at 70 years old I'm in better shape now than I was in my 40"s. I appreciate all that Dr. Eggers has done and will do for me. If anyone is looking for a truly caring doctor, look to Dr. John Eggers for your hip and knee.

I want to thank Dr John Eggers for the excellent care that I received when getting my knee replacement. (July 20, 2022) Dr Eggers is very thorough, first making sure that I was a good candidate for surgery, even instructing me on exercises to begin prior to surgery and also therapy to help me recover quickly. Dr. Eggers carefully explained everything that would happen, even sent me a video showing the surgery. The staff in the office and at the Surgical Center were outstanding! From the minute I walked into the Surgical Center for my pre-surgery training, up until my last appointment, I received the BEST care! And I especially appreciated that after each appointment, by the time I got home, I would have an email detailing the appointment, what we discussed and giving me any further instructions to help me. I definitely recommend Dr Eggers for anyone needing a new knee. I am thrilled with mine!!

I had total hip replacement in both hips, both done by Dr. Eggers. The first was in 2919. The second one was done in 09/22. I am extremely pleased with the outcome of both surgeries. Out of all the surgeries I have had over the years, these two were the smoothest I have had, both in the initial surgery, and in my overall recovery. I would highly recommend Dr. Eggers. Not only is he a good surgeon, but he listened to my concerns about previous surgery complications and was very proactive in both pre and post operative overall treatments. As a result, everything went great from both hip surgeries.

I had Both Knees Replaced by Dr Eggers and am Extremely Happy with the Results, if you are having Doubts, DON'T it's Worth it to be more Mobile Without the Pain (which wasnt that bad) Shoulders are much Worse!!! Thank You Dr Eggers and Staff

Dr. Eggers performed a left total knee replacement on me 6.60.2022. Three weeks postoperative I was walking pain free up and down stairs and was able to climb onto on my ES 150 series John Deere tractor to cut my own lawn!

I had one knee replaced in September of 20 and the second one in May of 21. Both are working great. I will have to have a hip replacement in the very near future and Dr. Eggers will definitely be doing that.

Three weeks ago, Dr. Eggers performed Left Knee replacement on my arthritic, bone on bone knee. The operation was performed at the North Kansas City Hospital. My experience at the hospital and with the surgical team was caring and professional. My knee surgery was early in the morning and I was up walking that afternoon. Dr. Eggers visited me the morning after my operation in the hospital and released me to go home that afternoon. After the first week I was no longer using a walker or a cane. During my three weeks follow up at Dr. Eggers office in North town he and his nurse walked me through my progress and what I should expect over the next few months. My replacement knee is operating as expected. Thank you, Dr. Eggers and all your staff.

Had my first knee done in September of 2019. Went great, able to do so much more than I had been doing. Second knee done in June 2020. Had more bruising this time but again everything went well. Therapy was a breeze. I believe this was all due to Dr. Eggers. Great surgeon, explained everything throughly and I knew what to expect. Would go to no other doctor but Dr. Eggers.

Dr. Eggers performed a left knee replacement for me 3 weeks ago. I have not ever had surgery in my adult life, but Dr.Eggers and his staff made me very comfortable before, during and after. I have been walking primarily without a cane for 1 1/2 weeks and am very pleased with my recovery.

Dr. Eggers and his staff are truly amazing and literally gave me my life back!!! i had to have both hips replaced at age 28 due to a very rare bone disease, Dr. Eggers did a amazing job and went above and beyond to answer all my questions and i am now able to walk pain free!!! his staff is professional and awesome as well. After breaking my hip. DR Eggers provided me with tremendous thoughtfulness and info detailing what I needed to know about the operation and all of the follow up afterwards. The Dr. and his staff provided me with a great attitude/fun attitude when I visited his office concerning follow up which really helped me get through the breaking of my hip and his replacing my hip joint.

I would recommend Dr. Eggers highly. He explained the entire surgery in detail and recovery. I've not experienced any issues that were not expected. I followed instructions for therapy and it went smoothly as he explained. My surgery went well!

I had a hip replacement and was very nervous about the surgery. I had been seeing another physician area and never felt comfortable with the thought of surgery. I decided to see Dr. Eggers and it was the best decision I ever made! His team was wonderful and made me feel at ease. Surgery and recovery was great. I now have a new hip that is pain free. I had surgery with Dr. Eggers on October 5, 2017@ North Kansas City Hospital for a hip replacement. It starts with preoperative visits which were excellent and his diagnosis and recommendation for surgery were very professional and explained the problem and what he was going to do to resolve that problem. The surgery went well and I am working my way through rehab now. He is a very smart man but he is able to deliver a message that is understandable which gave me confidence. Great follow up!

Had to have an emergency revision on a previous knee replacement when a component came loose on a Thursday. My regular surgeon did not do revisions so he recommended Dr Eggers for the surgery. Met him on Saturday to evaluate the problem. By the time he was finished he had a plan of action, had aspirated the knee, and set up other tests. He performed the surgery Monday evening and I was headed home Thursday morning. Having had 8 knee surgeries he is the cream of the crop.

Dr. Eggers performed total hip replacement (left side) on November 21, 2018. The posterior incision was only about four inches long, healed quickly with no issues. Arthrits pain was gone immediately. By one week post-surgery I was walking without a walker or cane, and began driving again. My recovery progressed quickly and at three weeks, two days post-surgery I was able to return to my office job. Dr. Eggers is highly skilled; I call him Dr. Wizard and recommend him and DFP Ortho highly.

Three weeks ago Dr. Eggers did a total hip replacement on my right side and I am so happy! I no longer have the hip joint and bursitis pain I had prior to surgery. I am walking well with no cane or walker. This surgery and recovery has gone better than I could have imagined. This has gone well because of Dr. Eggers. Not only is he an excellent surgeon, but is compassionate and kind. He explained everything and answered my questions every step of the way. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing orthopedic surgery. He has given me my life back. I am grateful for Dr. Eggers and sincerely glad I found him!

Dr John Eggers did a total right hip replacement for me on 6-5-19 utilizing an anterior approach. I was up walking using a walker the afternoon of surgery. I had PT the following day and was released from NKC Hospital on 6-6-19. I did the home exercises as prescribed by PT and by day 5 transitioned from the walker to using a cane. After using the cane for about 3 days I was able to walk normally without assistance on day 8 following my surgery with no pain. The surgery and recovery has gone far better than I could have imagined. I had my first appointment following surgery at 3 weeks and was released to drive. I had severe pain in my right hip and a pronounced limp due to arthritis prior my surgery and am now walking normally without any pain. I could not be more please with the outcome to my surgery. I highly recommend Dr Eggers. I was impressed with his professionalism, complete explanation of the surgery and answering all of my questions.
